Red Ribbon Week

Reagan Families: Next week is a busy week so I just wanted to make certain that all are aware of what is going on at Reagan.

For our Career Week/Red Ribbon Week, feel free to have your children dress up to support making healthy choices and living a healthy lifestyle. This year’s dress up days are as follows:

Monday 10/25 -- Red Sock & Red Accessory Day.

Tuesday 10/26 -- Ronald Reagan Spirit Day (wear green or spirit wear)

Wednesday 10/27 -- Career Day (dress up like what you want to be when you grow up)

Thursday 10/28 -- Exercise Day (dress up in athletic clothes or represent your favorite sports team) (Students may change into Halloween costumes in the afternoon)

On Thursday, 10/28, we will not be having an official parade, but students will still be allowed to dress up in the afternoon and we still have a fun activity planned.

Students may bring a costume to school but should not wear their costume to school. (Students may change into costumes in the afternoon). At approximately 2:00, we will begin calling grade levels out to the walking track. Once all students have been seated, the Kiss the Pig contest winner will be announced. After the contest, classes will be dismissed one at a time to go back to their classes.

As a parent, if you are interested in watching the Kiss the Pig contest, you will be allowed to go to the track area. You will be directed to enter school on the north side near the cafeteria to sign in. After the Kiss the Pig contest and after all classes have headed inside, you will exit the school the same way in which you entered. If you are planning on taking your children home at this time, you will need to go to the front office and check them out in the same manner as always.

Costumes must be school appropriate and meet all school guidelines. Students are not allowed to wear Halloween masks, have their faces painted, bring any toy weapons, or wear or bring any items that depict drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence, etc.

As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Thank you for your cooperation and we are looking forward to an exciting week.
